Colorful Cobalt!

Cobalt blue was never my favorite color.

However, when one of my sisters, Barb, gave me her entire collection of cobalt blue pieces, I came to love the color.

I even did our kitchen in blue and yellow. The color of the paint on the walls, a pale but lovely shade of yellow, is called "Morning Sunshine."

On a shelf in the attic, where very real-looking faux flowers are kept, I snagged two bouquets of periwinkle blue blooms.

Stuck inside deep cobalt blue candlesticks and placed on either side of the kitchen windows, above the sink, they look very springy.

Two small blue plates are on the sills, too, along with an assortment of cobalt blue glass pieces, and a transparent glass cross and angel.

When the afternoon sun passes through the cross and angel, they fill the kitchen with dozens of rainbows.

There's even a tiny elephant with an itsy bitsy plant inside but that is a story for another day.

I love it too!
Your tiles ever have that blue in it.
I think yellow would go beautiful with it too.

I do not have glass as I live in earthquake country but my daughter LOVES cobalt and hopes to inherit your collection someday.

That is the prettiest picture of the blue flowers in the Cobalt glass vase. Yes, I've always loved the color of Cobalt blue. It's a bit mysterious to me. Those are charming plates too. Your kitchen window sill looks lovely, Susan, and you have some really nice Cobalt pieces there.

Happy Easter to my treasured blog friend.

love, ~Sheri
