Dollhouse Heaven

Sometimes, in life, albeit rarely, humans get an experience over which they can safely say they "died and went to heaven."

A similar feeling occured during a birthday visit to Flip This Dollhouse.

It's a dollhouse and accessories shop in New Bedford, Massachusetts.

The shop also sells things online!

Located on the second floor of a former textile mill-turned-shopping venue, the dollhouses shop is truly a feast for the eyes of any lifelong dollhouse and miniatures hobbyist, like myself.

Some of the prices on the exquisite dollhouses shown are wayyyyyy above my budget, but it's still enjoyable without measure to look at them and dream.

No charge for that, right?

All of the photos in this post are from Flip This Dollhouse, taken during my birthday visit there.

WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE HOBBIES?

Susan.. It is so neat to see how each one of these doll houses has such character. they are beautiful. I love antiques but my two favorite hobbies are Flowers and decorating. Love them both.

Hello Susan, those dollhouses are really beautiful. So much detail. It makes me think of my oldest nephew. He built a lovely detailed wooden dollhouse when he was a teenager. I think he ended up donating to to some cause, but it started a life long love of woodworking. He now helps restore woodwork in old homes in Virginia. He is very talented. I guess I would say my favorite hobbies are decorating my home and reading.

Susan first of all Happy Belated Birthday. What a great way to spend another year's celebration. The doll houses are exquisite. Never had the pleasure of owning one but I certainly enjoy seeing them. The first pic was absolutely stunning. So glad you enjoyed your visit. Hugs!

Oh you must have loved going there. I know you had many miniatures and doll houses when you were in your big home. Great pictures.
