The sun shone brightly one afternoon, and even today, on this March weekend.
The blustery wind has made her presence known and the temps are still very chilly.
Inside the apartment, however, the warmth envelopes me like a comfortable blanket.
There are moments of deep solitude that before, made loneliness envelop my heart.
Now, however, as the months living alone tick by, it's comforting to look around and see objects that are well loved.
Since pink is my favorite color, there are gentle jolts of it everywhere in the apartment.
The tablecloth has an Easter runner on it now.
A lovely, hand painted rose container, made by my sister, Barb, an artist, stands at the base, in front of the humble table.
Pink orchid, in all her glory, catches the afternoon sun and looks like royalty.
Yes, there is beauty and love all around, despite being alone on many afternoons.
There is room in our lives for people, activities, and then, yes, solitude.
DO YOU LIKE TO HAVE MOMENTS OF SOLITUDE?

That pink orchid is beautiful. Pink is a pretty color. Growing up my bedroom was pink, red and white!
I enjoy solitude. It’s how I recharge!
I love being around family, and an occasional gathering with friends, but I need alone time for me too, Susan. It's good for us I think to gather our thoughts and reflect. There is room for it all, like you said. That box your sister made is really something. I thought it was store bought. But the roses painted by your sister makes it more special. I love your little table. It's perfect. I still have a very large one, and I want to get a smaller one soon. Your house may be small, Susan, but it sure is charming. And you decorating flares really add something to your home.

Such a gorgeous Pink orchid. I agree with Sheri...your apartment is very charming. My solitude is when I sit out by our pool in the middel of the day...all by myself and nature.
