Happy Father's Day To Dads Everywhere

Happy Father's Day to fathers everywhere.

May your day be blessed and happy.

Fathers are incredibly important in a young person's life.

Most people can recall things their dads taught them from a very early age.

My own father has been gone for many years. He died in 1989.

He was funny, a hard worker, planter of a gargantuan garden with carrots, corn, squash, and many other veggies, faithful to Almighty God, and tender-hearted.

He also grew many bushes of raspberries that were fat and sweet. They made fabulous jam!

He made a big production of feeding wild birds. He'd chop up things in tiny bites for them to feast on.

I miss my Dad, like everyone who has lost their fathers knows.

Today, we can remember our fathers and be grateful for all the love,  generosity, and kindness many gave.

Once a father dies, life is just never again the same.

Happy Father's Day to our Dad in heaven and to all the other Dad's out there who work and sacrifice for their children.

Your Dad sounds wonderful, Susan. So good of him to feed the birds like he did. That must have been so nice to have raspberry jam from the raspberries that he grew in his garden. My dad also had a garden across the street from our house growing up at my uncle's house. I used to go over there and water and have long talks with him. We were blessed with wonderful dads.

you are right Susan, life is very different after our parents pass away. The words you speak here of your dad are so sweet. Blessings to you on this father’s day as you reminisce of your dad
