Peacocks, to me, have always been considered quite exquisite birds.
They are really stunning to look at.
At petting zoos, anytime there were peacocks, they always drew my rapt attention, especially if their glorious feathers were fanned out for all to see.
Consequently, when I admired a peacock from Turkey, a dear friend noticed how much I loved it.
She offered to buy it for me but I didn't want her to spend the money.
She bougtht it anyway!
The peacock, in her jeweled finery, now sits on the table near the lounge chair where I watch tv every so often.
The peacock, and my darling friend's kindness and generosity, are all just absolutely endearing.

I am wondering if this opens up, Susan? Looks like one of those trinkets that I love so much when I go to Hobby Lobby. Such a dear gift from your friend. It's gorgeous. Many years ago, I went to the Zoo, and there were Peacocks just roaming the whole Zoo. I took many photos of them, but somehow I lost those photo files. But they have always intrigued me. and just like you, they quickly get my attention. They're such unique and beautiful birds. They are truly one of nature's gifts. Your peacock looks so pretty sitting on your table.
