While vacations offer welcome breaks from routines, seeing new places, and enjoying each precious moment, it's always great to get back home (and one's own bed.)
Plus, you have been very, very missed!
So here's today's post:
The air this morning brought a few chills down the spine.
Loving refreshing temps, I opened the bedroom window today but, in a very short time, closed it.
The chilly air turned out to be just a bit too cold for open window enjoyment.
We are in the heart of autumn for sure.
Returning from vacation with friends, the bare shelved refrigerator needed refurbishing.
The stunning bouquet of flowers at the top of this post awaited shoppers in a local supermarket.
It was impossible to refrain from sticking my hand into my purse and retrieving my cell phone in order to take a photo to share with you.
So as some people shopped for broccoli and squash, pumpkins and apple butter, I snapped a photo of the utterly breathtaking floral bouquet.
Upon my return from vacation, my daughter brought supper over to me the first night and some homemade blueberry muffins for the next day's breakfast.
Sitting at the little dining room table in my very small apartment today, I couldn't help but burst out laughing.
Take a good look at the blueberry muffin inside the plastic container.
Do you see a face in it?
I did and it looked like mine as I unpack suitcases and try to find a space for everything.
It's "berry important to laugh, right?

That muffin does look like it has a face in it...ha ha. Oh the last time I laughed was when my grandson Jonah was here the other day. He is so funny. I always enjoy his visits.
Lovely floral display. Here at Trader Joe's there are fall displays, pumpkins and so forth for October and fall. It was 74 today but we are also having fall and will be in the sixties next week. I'll dress warm for my visit.

Such a nice thing for your daughter to bring you dinner and blueberry muffins for breakfast. You're right, the one thing I really miss when I'm away from home is my comfy bed. Oooo, you are already getting frost! It's chlly here, and we've had some foggy days, but no frost yet. The last time I had a good laugh is probably when I was with Francesca and had a laugh attack. Something silly always brings it on, and we both can't stop laughing. : )
