While daily de-cluttering and holding out hope of having no plastic totes filled with "stuff" are part of daily living around here, thrift store and yard sale shopping are still immense fun.
Why? Why would someone who dislikes clutter still walk (run?) to thrift stores and yard sales?
Well, a lot of time, it's to pick up little treasures for others.
It might be a birthday of a friend, or visits to loved ones in the process of healing from surgery.
Whatever the occasion, having a stash of adorable things available, that cost almost nothing, is a ganga.
The little sheep, shown at the top of this post, went to a very loved person who also loves sheep!
Sheepy is watching over her as she heals from surgery.
See? There's always a reason to justify thrift store and yard sale shopping! hee hee

You can always find something interesting at such fairs. In our country, fair days are held at the markets in every town, each town has its own fair day, for example in my town it is every Thursday, and in the neighboring town it is Tuesday. Then you can find whatever your heart desires at the market. Kind regards from Croatian Pokuplje, Jasna
Oh, I hear ya, Susan. I just went to a yard sale, and it was so fun. I guess we like the vintage stores and yard sales because there are treasures to be found, and at a lesser price. I didn't buy anything, but there was a couple pretty things that I passed up. I think I liked the mother's things more than the daughter's. This little sheep is so cute. You are doing exactly what my sister used to do - buy little things along the way to keep for gifts for others. We used to call her the perfect "gift giver" because she always gave each person something that was just right for them. Even though I'm cutting back on buying stuff, I LOVE browsing through the home shops and vintage shops and yard sales. It's such a delight to see what other people have, isn't it? This sleepy sheep is a caring gift for someone who just had surgery.
You're right, Susan, we don't walk, we run to those yard sales in excitement. hehehe
