The rich, deep golden hues of amber glass go perfectly with fall.
It's like autumn leaves melted into glass, to look at and enjoy.
Bringing down my box of amber glass from the attic, unpacking and washing each piece in hot, sudsy water and letting every piece dry until it sparkles is one of the most pleasant things to do each fall.
Admittedly, it's hard to pass-up adding to the collection if I see a piece of amber glass at a yard sale or thrift shop during the year.
The glass shown in these photos is on three windowsills in the kitchen.
Amber jewelry is lovely, too, but that's a post for another day.
