They are so beautiful and rich in colors and designs.
I like to think of how each egg was once held in some one's hands as it was being hand painted.
The Ukrainian eggs, of course, are done with special instruments, wax and layers of dye.
Because I love these eggs, they are kept downstairs year-round, in my late mother's china cabinet.
But during the Easter season, I take some of them out, place them in a glass dish and give them their own spot in the middle of the kitchen table.
That way, we can see and enjoy them every day.
This year the table is also covered with a white lacy tablecloth.
