Colors Make Us Smile

Colors, let's have colors, let's have lots and lots of colors!

Oh yeah.  There are no black and white or grey color schemes around here.

Instead, the brighter, the better is the decoration scheme's mantra at the old homestead!

Last fall, at a wildly popular public housewares sale, some colored place mats, made in India, immediately caught my eye.

"These'll be perfect for dark, grey winter days," is the thought that went through my mind when I bought four of them for less than $2 each.

Wouldn't you know it, I forgot all about them!  The other day, when opening a bottom drawer of the dining room hutch, there they sat, in all their brilliant colors. 

Aren't they the pizazz?
