Fall Themed Potholders

Estate sales, yard sales and thrift shops are all great places to find bargains.

Antiques shops? Well, they are a little  or a lot more pricey.

Somehow, the objects of yesterday command pretty hefty prices sometimes. Sad but true.

But there are bargains to be found, if one is vigilant.

During a recent antique shop excursion, while looking through all the glassware, books and beautiful high-priced furniture, I came across some adorable potholders with fall motifs.

Price?  One sweet dollar each.

Someone did a great job making them.

I love homey articles like the potholders. They make a home feel very cozy.

Plus, it will be nice to have the recipe for pumpkin muffins right out in the open.

Even the backs have fall designs on them, candy corn, pumpkins, fall leaves and so forth.

I bought two of them. There were many other designs left behind.

One still needs a small hoop sewn on the back (it was missing completely), but that will not be a problem at all.

It is not my intention to use them as potholders.

They will be decorations against the wainscoting in our kitchen.
