Gooseberry Patch Cookbook Find!
Some people dislike receiving mail order catalogs in the mail.
Me? I love 'em.
Some are greater than others, of course, but being a die-hard shopper, flipping through a catalog is the next best thing to STORE shopping and it's cheaper, too! (Unless one makes a big order, of course. )
One of my absolute favorite mail order catalogs to receive is one by Gooseberry Patch.
This Ohio company was started by two friends, Jo Ann and Vickie.
They worked as a first grade teacher, and flight attendant and legal secretary, respectively. Both loved antiques and country decorating.
So they started a mail-order business which has grown and become immensely popular.
You can check out their cool website here. And they have a blog, too!
Well, I was one thrilled chickadee today when I made a Salvation Army Store run.
There, in the book section, was an almost brand new copy of a Gooseberry Patch cookbook titled "Simple Joys of Friendship: Celebrating friends, food and stories that warm the heart."
Now tell me. How could I pass up a title like that? The cookbook held so much promise in its pages!
For $2.99, it couldn't be left.
I LOVE it. It's got all the sweet, darling drawings the mail order catalog has plus cute sayings, etc.
I took a whole bunch of photos to show you but then saw the Copyright sign.
Honestly, I didn't feel comfortable showing the drawings and sayings, even in my personal blog.
I mean, copyright is copyright, right?
So anyway, check out the wonderful website, the blog and enjoy!
ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH GOOSEBERRY PATCH?
