Fairy Garden Magic

The latest rage in the garden world is creating garden scenes in miniature called "fairy gardens."

After reading a lot about these unique creations, often made in tea cups or round flat bowls, it was clear it would be fun to make one.

I promised my little granddaughter the next time she visited, we would make one.

We did and it was so much fun for both Grammie and the little one. She really outdid herself with imagination!

The hunt for items to put into the garden came first and most of the figurines were found at a Goodwill store for less than $2.00 each.

Tinkerbell was found in a Dollar General store, much to the delight of my sweet little toddler!

We used an old round ceramic bird feeder for the container.  First,
we filled it with potting soil.

The stone pebbles came from Dollar Tree.

The  little sweetheart had a blast putting all items into her fairy garden.

Even though the pathways are quite unconventional-looking, the whole shebang was made with love.

That  makes it a  very special fairy garden, don't you think?

HAVE YOU HEARD OF FAIRY GARDENS?
