Remember the joyful song, "Let's Go Fly a Kite" in the musical "Mary Poppins?" (Check out several versions on YouTube.) Well, while on vacation at the Cape this month, the grands did just that!
Their parents brought wonderfully colorful and whimsical kites.
One warm windy day, the kites did, indeed, go "up to the highest height."
Amid laughter and little hearts filled with hope, the kites got "sent soaring."
Butterfly, fairy, and a colorful triangle-of-sorts kites filled the sky above our little section of the ocean.
The kite-flying turned out to be an exhilarating way to spend a few vacation hours.
