Packratitis...

Is there such a word as "packratitis?"

(That's meant to be pronounced pack-rat-i-tis.)

If there is a malady by the name, I've got it.

What someone else is happy to throw away, I'm happy to take.

It could be useful in the future.

It might come in handy for a crafts project.

It possibly could be incorporated into a decorating scheme.

Such is the case of a couple bunches of fall leaves with long stems.

When someone "discarded" them, home with me they came.

A dear friend gave me a gah gah Halloween mask last year.

It's all sparkly gold and feathery.

As a matter of fact, I wore it to answer all the trick or treaters knocks' at our door last year.

So recently, while decorating for fall, the faux leaves made a nice display in a dark red vase that a cousin gave me.

The mask is set up at its base.

Added to the mix are two beautiful oval-shaped red and gold bowls, gifts from a dear friend.

Voila! Instant decor for the fall and it didn't cost a cent.

DO YOU HAVE A TOUCH OF 'PACKRATITIS' OR ARE YOU A MINIMALIST?
