Change Decor Each Christmas Season

Every Christmas, old, familiar decorating items come out of hiding.

Rather than have the familiar decorations in the same place every year, I like to move things around.

Some decorations I even use a couple of times and then donate them to a thrift store.

One little Christmas tree, however, has been around for quite a few years. It's covered with tiny boxes, all wrapped in  patterned papers and with tiny bows.

All I can think of is how many hours it took someone to make it. It really must have been very labor intensive.

This year, I used it as a table centerpiece at one of the season's first dinner parties. Loved it.

Small gifts, wrapped in red and green tissue paper, surrounded a big bowl of pomanders. The latter, I use year round.  Some days, their fragrance is very pronouced and other days barely discernable.

A huge floral centerpiece, made by a dear and talented friend, moved to a hall table this year. It's a gorgeous arrangement but too large for a dining room centerpiece. It's stunning, though, and looks great in its new location.
