Recently, my husband and I had a two-day adventure discovering a new place, namely, South Yarmouth, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod. This was a perfect time of year to go because there were not many tourists. We even walked along nearly deserted, soft sand beaches and picked up seashells!
We took a harbor cruise in Hyannis and saw, from a distance, the Kennedy Family Compound, including the house where the late JFK lived. It was chilly on the 1911 coastal steamer boat, "Prudence," and I wished I had worn something a little bit warmer.
Two brothers, Richard and Robert Scudder, founded Hyannis Harbor Tours, Inc. in 1962 As a family business, the sightseeing tours have been very successful and brought a great deal of enjoyment to our own Cape Cod adventure!
At one point, when I looked out of the back of the boat, the only thought that came into my head was that I did not want to be "woman overboard."
In South Yarmouth there are dozens of places to eat a delicious lobster dinner and so many shops that it made our heads spin. Luckily, there were also a ton of consignment and thrift stores with fabulous items priced right!
As we came back to the harbor, all the docked boats looked picturesque in the afternoon sun.

These bright purple flowers made a stunning border but I forgot to ask the name of
Does anyone out there know what they are? Someone said they might be bluebells, but I'm not sure.
Well, that's a short tour of our visit to Cape. Hope you hopped on board with us for the tour!
