One More Stargazer Lily
Walking in the backyard this morning, guess what I found?
A lone stargazer lily in the round flower bed that has been the local restaurant for a delinquent woodchuck.
Just about every bulb planted there became lunch for Mama Woody.
I read that pinwheels would detract this type of animal so I bought seven of them at the Dollar Tree.
Hubs "planted" the pinwheels all along the fence in the backyard.
I literally saw the big fat woodchuck waddle by all those pinwheels.
Busted.
So when I spotted the stargazer that managed to survive being the woodchuck's lunch, it was cause for immediate celebration.
I clipped her as quickly as possible, rushed into the house and put her in a vase on the kitchen table.
You didn't get this one, Mrs. Woodchuck.
DO YOU HAVE ANY GUARANTEED MEANS OF GETTING RID OF PESKY WOODCHUCKS?
