The Last Dance of the Season...

This week between Christmas and New Years is like having the opportunity to take the last dance during a night of celebration.

The holiday decor has to be taken down, but not yet.

We have to adjust our diets and eliminate most carbs, but not yet.

We can lament the year that has just passed or look forward to the new year to come.  That is our choice.

It's a kind of nice week.  There's no pressure to do a lot of things on a list, make out Christmas cards, or buy more presents. That's all part of the past.

The Christmas that just passed was probably the most difficult of my entire life.

Dealing with the grief of losing my husband this year, the COVID crisis, being unable to attend holiday parties or visit family members, the wretchedness in Washington, hungry families, unemployment, food lines, and on and on.

It has really been a tough season.

Better times are coming. They are just ahead of us.

We must persist, persevere, and be patient.

Oh yes, and may we enjoy the last dance!

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MOST THIS COMING YEAR?
