When the doorbell rang yesterday, I wondered who was paying an afternoon visit. It was a dear and cherished long-time friend from high school.
We've had very different lives. After high school, I left town and, except to visit, didn't come back for decades.
My beloved friend, on the other hand, almost never left. She had four kids and a busy life.
She is an extremely generous soul. She survived breast cancer and hit the five year mark. For that I am so grateful that it squeezes my heart.
So she comes in yesterday with a bag filled with Valentine goodies.
There was the beautiful card shown at the top of this post, plus this card with the sweet message:
This box will be good for pens and has a nice verse on the outside.
I happen to love girly figurines and this lovely lady joined her "cousins" in the curio cabinet. She's holding a lovely bunch of flowers!
The gift bag seemed bottomless and I was glad! Ripping apart the red tissue paper felt like birthday fun.
She gave me two notepads, too, and one is a sparkler! It came with a lah lah pen, too.
Of course there was chocolate! (And a separate box for my husband!)
And the charming heart shown above in this post.
Also, a "Friendship" cup with a bag of candy inside.
Oh yes, and precious flowers, too!
Then my hubs presented me with a beautiful red rose and baby's breath! I popped it into an elegant wine decanter.
Wow, what a pre-Valentine's Day it turned out to be.
I feel so blessed to have so much love in my life!
Today, to everyone reading this, I wish you a fabulous day of love!
