Little Stone House Museum in the Vermont Countryside

Visiting the homes of late writers and poets ranks high on a fun excursion list.

Last weekend, a very dear friend and I traveled to Shaftsbury, Vermont, to tour the home of Robert Frost.

One reason I have always liked his poetry is because it is easy to read and understand.

It's also peaceful and after visiting the Stone House, where he lived for several years, I can understand why.

The Stone House is set on picturesque grounds.

It's kind of out in the countryside and the entire property exudes peacefulness and quiet.

By the way, he wrote "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening" at the dining room table while living in the Stone House.

He wrote it in the month of June, however! Thought that was a hoot.

Will be doing more posts on the visit to Robert Frost's house  so if they would be of interest to you, stay tuned!

ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH THE POETRY OF ROBERT FROST?
