Simple Pleasure: The Ability to See Color

Every Thursday, Dayle,  in Texas, hosts Simple Pleasures at her blog, A Collection of This and That. It is a series of posts that was created by Dayle to remind people "to stop, to look, to listen, to slow down and pay closer attention to the simple things in life."

Bloggers from all over the United States participate by sharing their own simple pleasures.

So today,  from Western Massachusetts, Writing Straight from the Heart shares on our ability to see color.

Imagine what it would be like to live in a world that is only black and white. It would be so boring. Even more tragic would be to have no sight and be immersed in blackness.

More than just about any other sense, I cherish eyesight the most. It is one of the Creator's greatest and most treasured gifts.

The bright flowers at the top of this post are found on a new porch rug, spotted in a pharmacy here in Western Mass. Actually, I went into the store to buy something else. However, how could I possibly pass up such a cheerful rug that would welcome guests this Easter season?

There are splashes of color all through our house, as well, such as this perky chick who hangs on a door in our kitchen at this time of year.

Yes, ability to see color is a very prized and valued simple pleasure.

Be sure to check out all the other Simple Pleasures entries on Dayle's blog, A Collection of This and That.
