Parades Are Part of Life's Perks!

Ever since childhood, I've loved parades.

When my sisters and I were little, our parents always took us to see the Fourth of July Parade in our  hometown.

Those momentous occasions remain firmly cemented in my mind and heart. They were so thrilling!

The balloons, the clowns, the floats, the marching bands, the fife and drum corps, the bagpipers, and, of course, dozens of fire trucks, all made the day's event extra special.

Now, decades later, my parents are long gone to the other side of life but parades are still dear to my heart.

So, of course, we went to one in Massachusetts on the Fourth of July.

The weather did not cooperate on Saturday and we watched all  the whoopla in a steady, unrelenting, really, downpour.

Luckily, one of our  nephews put up a red tent cover so at least we didn't get soaked!

The parade was super and brought back many happy memories.

WHAT, IF ANYTHING, DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT PARADES?
