It's great to have a day to celebrate love! Around here, on this sweet Valentine's Day, we also celebrate hearts. One can never have enough "heart," right? One old-time song read, "You gotta have heart."
More hearts decorate the front porch. (Okay, admittedly, I'm a bit on the compulsive side):
Here's the thermometer on the front porch. It reads almost 40 degrees?
Oh my gosh, we are having a heat wave!
Inside the house, here's the hall table vignette some of you saw on a post on Feb. 3, 2011):
This rose wreath, that usually hangs on a hallway wall, now adorns the kitchen table surrounding a red candle. Who needs expensive roses, whose prices quadrupled for the holiday, when these beauties will do just fine?
It's also been so much fun getting Valentine's Day cards. Of course, a slew of them got sent out, too.
As soon as they come in, up on the hall doorway they go.
So, we are all ready for this sweet, sentimental holiday. We hope you are, too!
WHAT THOUGHTS DO YOU HAVE ON THIS DAY OF LOVE?
Dearest Susan,
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day to you and enjoy the hearts and roses!

Love, the glue that holds relationships together. Your hearts are cute, Susan. Happy Valentine's Day to one of the sweetest, most genuine bloggers I know.
ReplyDeleteI had never thought to hang cards other than out Christmas cards on the door. What a neat idea.Have a wonderful Valentine's Day. We will not be going out this year, I'm doing Weight Watchers and really doing well.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, Happy Valentine's Day to you! Your rose ring is just beautiful. I absolutely love all of the shades of reds and pink blended together. Perfect choice for the kitchen table!

chocolate thoughts? :o) After all, that seems to be quite the popular token of love this day :o) Love thoughts? those exist year round, fortunately.

ReplyDeleteHi Susan
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's day to you and your wonderful husband. Enjoy all your decorations.
Hey Susan! I do have a thing for hearts. Love all your wreaths. And the card/broach from your daughter is so pretty. We don't do anything special around here. My hubby thinks it is just a gimmick for companies to make money. He says you don't need a special day to profess your love. It's an every day thing. :) We were in the 40's last week but I think it has warmed up a bit with all the sunshine we have in the afternoons. Sending hugs your way! Tammy
