Crystal in the Dining Room Hutch

A crystal and cut glass collection is quite magical.

It somehow evolves without one's even realizing it. Isn't that the way with most collections?

My Mom loved crystal, too, and I hope she can see my collection today from her place in  heaven.

This Easter, one of my dearest girlfriends gave me the new piece, shown at the top of this post. It's very ornate and I just love it.

This miniature tea set has joined the crystal pieces in the dining room hutch.

By the way, if you have any interest in finding out HOW the hutch came home, you can read about it here.

  It's quite an amazing story!

ARE CRYSTAL AND CUT GLASS YOUR STYLE?

Crystal? I do believe I will need another house for all of mine. A house made of all glass windows.

I have an obsession for cut glass crystal. I don't have a lot of display space so a lot of mine is stored. But, yes I think it is gorgeous!

It is funny - you pick something up - someone sees it and buys you another one and your collection has started.

A pretty collection too. I do hope your mother can see it. Very nice.

I love my crystal cross...keep it on the dining room table all the time. I got a few pieces from my Mom after she died so they are all the more precious. Enjoy yours.

I'm afraid around here it would just be grimy and dirty. So hard to keep anything like that clean in this environment. Hope your day is a good one. Tammy

Wow, Susan! Just wow! I read your hutch story and what a wonderful experience. Yes, I do believe in the favor of the Lord, very much so.

Your collection is beautiful.

Oh my gosh, the top photo of crystal looks so much like a piece I have. Mine is cut glass and belonged to my grandmother. It is a "punch bowl," but I think it is too small to be a punch bowl. It is in two piece. The pedestal can be used as a bowl also. Is that how yours is?
