Bargain Shelf "Treasure"

A few days ago, I went on an excursion to a unique shop called Sanford and Kid in the town of North Adams, here in Massachusetts.  (I cannot find a website of the store, itself.)

This place is open only three days a week, Friday through Sunday.

Apparently, the owner goes to a lot of estate and other sales, brings the treasures to his store, and then resells them.

There are often some really terrific bargains to be found.  Often one will find nice quality items including  all kinds of furniture.

One section of the store has three very long shelves and all the merchandise on them costs $1 per item. This is usually one of the first places I head when I go to Sanford and Kid.

On my last excursion there, I picked up a lady figurine with a very pretty face. She holds a rose in her hands.

Unfortunately, if you study her closely, you'll see that one of her hands had fallen off and someone glued it back together.

If you look really, really closely, you'll see a couple of teeny tiny fingers missing, too, thus the $1 price tag.

On the bottom of the little lady, it reads Lenox, fine china.

The figurine is also referred to as "The Christmas Rose."

So I got The Christmas Rose in May!

She looks so sweet with lots of "sistahs" in the living room curio cabinet.

Do you think she's pretty?

WHAT'S THE LAST BARGAIN ITEM YOU PURCHASED?

Good evening Susan...I haven't been posting much lately, but I adore your little bargain lady. She's just so pretty and peaceful.
My latest bargain was a green handled peeler that now lives in my kitchen with some other kitchen items.
Much love,
Linda

She is gorgeous. So pretty.
My last purchase was today(I am on holidays) and so many new op shops to explore. I bought 5 pink sherry glasses for $4. I already have one the same at home. Now I have a set of 6. xx

Your figurine is very pretty. Gathered with all the other girls there's no way anyone would notice she is missing a few fingers. :) Best wishes for a great day. Tammy
