Do you love candles?
If you do, a dream-come-true trip for you would be a visit to Kringle Candle Company in Bernardston, Massachusetts.
It makes a fabulous day trip from Western Massachusetts and is less than two hours away.
The grounds of this fairly new company are beautiful.
There are brick walkways, spanking new buildings that look somewhat vintage in style, white fences, flowering plants in huge containers, many of them red, and, of course, candles.
You can even sit under red umbrellas set over tables and chairs.
On a sunny, gorgeous day, this place rocks.
Kringle candles, even though displayed in colored containers, are all white, burn brightly and are highly fragrant.
There's another huge candle company in Massachusetts that natives know like the backs of their hands. It's Yankee. Their candles are lovely and fragrant, too.
Well, Kringle Candle Company's owner, Mick Kittredge III, is the son of Mike Kittredge, II, the man who originally started Yankee candles, before that company was sold. Small world, eh?
Anyway, thought you'd enjoy seeing some photos of Kringle Candle Company!
Even ol' Chris Kringle would be proud of this place!
By the way, check out their terrific website by going here.
DO YOU LIKE CANDLES? IF YES, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FRAGRANCE?
I love candles, but to choose my favorite fragrance would be hard...maybe freeshia or magnolia, or pumpkin spice. We lived in Massachusetts and I've never heard of Kringle. It's on my list the next time I'm there. XOXO
ReplyDeleteOMG, Susan! You live in the BEST state, don't you? TWO huge candle companies?! :)
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of Kringle, either. I find it kind of strange that they are all white! I cannot possibly choose my favorite aroma. There are many, and they depend on the season, too! Thanks for the beautiful photos!
Oh, yes! I like candles! My favorite scent, though I like the change of scent with the seasons, would probably be a pumpkin spice!
ReplyDeleteYou are a wonderful ambassador for Massachusetts, Susan! Everytime I read your blog, I am filled with a longing to visit your state once again!
Have a great Wednesday!
xo Nellie
That candle company is huge - we have nothing like that here. I'd love to go visit it.
ReplyDeleteOh my word I need to go here! Candles and Christmas!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun:)
Right now I'm burning Clean Cotton - Yankee. But I love MacIntosh Apple for the fall.
Enjoy your week!

ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful candle store... it would be hard to leave with out spending some money there. My favorite candles are the ones that smell like cookies and pies. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Yankee candles as the scent lasts so long . I had no idea there was a spin off company from the owners..very interesting. Lovely pictures too. I do not have a favorite though as they are all great.
ReplyDeleteNew England has so many of these wonderful places. I can imagine the fragrances, the food and the fun.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great place to spend a afternoon wondering around checking out things and it would smell good too yes I like candles.
ReplyDeleteMerle....
You know I have an allergy problem - and I love candles - but would like them unscented.
ReplyDeleteThey sure look pretty - are they as big as Yankee Candles - I don;t think I have seen any.
Looks like a wonderful day!
