Take Time to See the Clouds

It's so lovely to sit at the kitchen table with the screened door open on a summer day.

Outside, the wind is blowing slightly and, thankfully, the air is cool rather than sizzling.

Neighborhood children in a nearby pool are  chatting, laughing and splashing.
Up in the sky, big, fluffy clouds bounce by, playing hide and seek with the sun.

Clouds are always beautiful to look at and so filled with variety and texture.

It doesn't even matter if they are filled with light or tinged with gray. They are all lovely to see.

I like to lift my face to the sun, feel its warmth, and thank God for this absolutely magnificent gift of life.

HOW LONG WOULD YOU LIKE TO LIVE?

  3. It was a wonderful day here too. I love to look at clouds. And I think that we should take the time to look at clouds. I agree with Diane - as long as I am in good health. sandie

  4. So pleased it's a beautiful day there too. We are having a gorgeous Autumn sunny day. We walked along the beach listening and watching the waves and also felt the warmth of the sun on our faces. So glad to be alive and well.
I don't think about how long I want to live,I just enjoy the moment.
    Lovely photo's of such a pretty sky.:0

  5. Lovely cloud photos. We had a pretty day yesterday although still hot and very humid. It was a first in days without severe thunder storms in the afternoon and evening. Those return today and continue for the week. Our June was the wettest on record with over 10-inches of rain.

  6. Hello from Spain: interesting question and difficult to answer. I do not know how long I want to live but I do know that I want to die before my husband. I could not bear the pain of being without him .. Keep in touch

  8. I too love looking up to the clouds. Our local massage clinic has a huge oil painting of clouds and I can't stop looking at it.
As long as I have good mental health I would love to live into my 90's.
    Have a great Sunday!

  10. Like Linda, I love looking at clouds in the evening, when they are set against a backdrop of dark pink. This post reminds me of taking time out to smell the roses. As you say, let's take more time out to look at the clouds, too. ;-)

    Happy Sunday!

  12. Your name of your blog should be about pictures too as your pictures are always stunning! What a question--hmm--I want to live as long as I am useful to God. I hope each day I can do something--even if I am bedridden.

  14. Susan,
I am so glad I found someone that loves cloud pictures as much as I do. Aren't they so interesting? You have captured their beauty well.

    Love,

  15. My heart does a big pitty patter when I look up into the vastness of the sky. I am a cloud watcher. I love seeing photo's of them. I would like to see my grand children as adults but the older I get I know the aging road gets tougher.
