Par-tay! Par-tay! Par-tay!
As shared previously, this week we are hosting two very special guests from Florida.
They are my hub's sister and brother. Both are well along in years yet sooooo filled with life and joy!
One night, we had an open house so all our dear friends and family members could welcome them.
I pulled out every candle I could find and the back yard at dusk looked enchanting.
The table is shown at the top of this post!
At a yard sale this summer, I found a box containing the little umbrella toothpicks, all 144 of them, on a table labeled "free."
The box was completely sealed.
They sure made the little chunks of cheese look festive.
It's been such a terrific week so far and lots of memories are in-the-making.
We are joining Home and Garden Thursday on Kathy's blog, A Delightsome Life. Come join the par-tay there!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO SERVE AT A PAR-TAY?

ReplyDeleteabsolutely beautiful....an evening to remember for your family....
ReplyDeleteOh have a great time with your guests. I like to serve stuffed mushrooms and cold cuts and fruit salad at my parties. I also make homemade brownies and choc. chip cookies. The outdoor table looks wonderful with all those candles and the cute umbrellas.
ReplyDeleteCandles at dusk! Magical to say the least. The table looked lovely and the fruit and cheese delicious; the little "free" umbrellas added a nice touch of summer whimsy. I'm sure all your guests had a fabulous time.
ReplyDeleteI like to make a simple appetizer called "cheese bread" that my sister has been making for years. It goes so well with wine and fruit. It can also be adapted for dessert with the addition of seasonal jams and jellies, even cranberry sauce. Everyone always loves it. Easy to make also.
Sounds like you are really enjoying your guests and they must be feeling very special with all the extra things you are doing.
Your such a talented, thoughtful and gracious hostess.
