Let's Hear It For Greeting Cards

My Mom loved greeting cards and I'm exactly like her.

She used to spend hours looking for cards, addressing them, writing personal notes inside them and then sending them.

When she died, one of her possessions that I got was an aluminum card holder.

There are little circles that you tuck the cards into.

Honestly, I love that holder.

Every holiday, it goes onto the front hallway table.

Then I wait eagerly for cards to come in the mail.

If only a few arrive, never fear.

I keep cards for years and add a few previously sent.

Makes for a cheerful display every time.

DO YOU SAVE GREETING CARDS?

  3. I send and receive lots of cards and keep only my super favorites. There are so many beauties and each one is meaningful; the person took the time to select it and mail it to me. Bless their heart.

  5. How precious that you have your mom's card holder.

I wish that I had saved cards throughout the years. It would be lovely to see my grandmother and mother's handwriting again.

    Wishing you a nice day.

  8. This is a sad question for me. I have kept my cards - from dear friends and family. But alas we are downsizing homes and I have had to let them go.
