Day trips are one of the best parts of summer.
Loved perusing shops recently in Manchester, Vermont.
One favorite shop found was The Hidden Jewel.
The salmon colored door, (shown at top of post), was the first thing to catch my attention. It was so pretty!
Inside this darling shop, we saw untold numbers of treasures like Bella Tayor handbags and accessories, charming dolls, chicken and froggy decor, gorgeous gold and silver jewelry, Russian nesting dolls, signs, and on and on.
Here is the charming and personable owner, Lynne Robillard.
Tiny colored glass animals can be seen on the counter in front of her.
The shop is located at 4961 Main St. in Manchester, Vermont.
The phone number is (802) 36201608.
We'll have more on The Hidden Jewel offerings in other posts so stay tuned.
P.S. There was no payment of any kind for this post. I just loved the shop, enjoyed meeting the owner and couldn't wait to share this experience with you!
WHAT KIND OF SHOPS, IF ANY, DO YOU ENJOY SHOPPING IN?

I like shopping, but wondering around these nick nack shops is always a nice way to spend a afternoon.

The lovely door caught my attention, too. I love stores like this one and also antique/thrift stores.
These days I'm more attracted to the quaint exteriors (like THIS lovely one) than the content. At this stage I have so much "stuff" that I can hardly bring myself to "shop" anymore :)
We like going to small towns about an hour away sometimes to browse their historic districts.
This looks like a fun outing. I could use one too! Glad you got out!
Hello from Spain: Pretty shops. Great ornaments. I really like stores shoes and handbags. They are my favorite accessories. Keep in touch
I am trying to get rid of the things I've had for years and do not need another thing. Enjoy your day trips and I hope you find exactly what you are looking for with your many many collections.
I have been to Manchester, Vt and enjoyed perusing the shops there also. Loved the store with the salmon colored door, too. These days I just look more than buy and try to get ideas for unusual ways to use the things I already have.
Just got back from a few days at my brother's beach house in Niantic, Ct and enjoyed browsing in a cute shop at Misquamicut Beach. There were lots of "summery" ideas as the shop's wares were beautifully displayed.
Hope you are enjoying these "dog days" of summer!
Susan,
I love that whimsical tea pot, and just saw a similar one on a friend's blog. And that fairy is beautiful. This is my kind of shop, and I would spend a lot of time in here if I stopped by.
love,
~Sheri
I love everything at that store but especially that punk door! I would LOVE to have and own it.
