When it comes to summer fruits and veggies, fresh and local, whenever possible, are best.
It's such fun to go to farmers' markets, many of which fall on the weekends.
But there are lots of farm stands open daily.
On the way home from Vermont last week, we stopped at Bradley Farm in Lanesboro, a small town in western Massachusetts.
It's an organic farm whose owners and workers are super friendly and extremely hard-working.
Loved the display of fresh fruits, veggies and flowers.
Since we were out of eggs, I picked up a dozen of fresh ones!
All photos shown here, I took at Bradley Farm.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT FARM STANDS?

Hi Susan, Your photos are wonderful. I would love to purchase a freshly picked bouquet of flowers for the table!
Have a nice week.
Corn on the cob right from the farmer's garden . It reminds me of my childhood when Dad grew his own. Yummy Yummy
Hi Susan...great post, love farm stands...funny title:)
Farm stands/farmers markets usually have produce that is grown locally, thereby giving a fresher product. There is also a greater chance that it is organically grown, and that's a prerequisite for me when I'm shopping.
Oh Susan you are such a delight! I love farmers markets too.
Please know I do have every intention of starting the My Favorite 5 series back up and you will be first. Life is a bit crazy now for me to handle all the extra coordination it requires. I am thinking Fall once we are settled.
Thank you for your kindness and friendship.
All of the above! Great, mouthwatering photos. Aren't we so blessed to have such bounty to choose from?
Hello from Spain: I really like the fresh fruit markets. I usually go shopping in summer to a market near my house. Nice pictures. That fruit looks delicious. Keep in touch
Your photos are so beautiful! I love going to our local farmers market. They always have the most gorgeous sunflower bouquets. =)
Blessings and Sunshine,
Valerie
