New Day, New Thoughts

It's not often that I get up early enough to see the sunrise.

However, one recent day, my schedule required an early rise and I'm so glad it did.

The day's first gift was to view the sunrise!

The sun up crept up slowly from its resting place and gently silhouetted the trees outside our house.

Like the day's plans, it grew stronger and brighter by the minute.

Soon it flooded the room and lighted up the lace curtains with golden hues.

Just standing there, bathed in the light of a new day, was an immense gift.

It made me aware of the tremendous blessings each day of life brings and  filled my heart with gratitude.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU SEE THE SUNRISE?  PLEASE TELL US ABOUT IT.

That is beautiful - you know what - our house you can't see the sunrise - it is weird - but it doesn't face the way the sun rises and we have really tall trees! I miss that.

I never wake up early enough to see the sunrise now that I'm retired. I sleep late after many years of early rises. However the sun shines daily where I live so I do see sunshine a lot. Today MUCH NEEDED rain is falling and I'm loving it more than a sunrise..ha ha.

Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. They soothe the soul.

Lovely images. Sunrise here now is before 5:00 a.m. so I'm not usually up then. Besides, this time of year, the position has changed and I don't have such a good view anymore. And they aren't as colorful as the winter sunrises. Have a fabulous Friday. Tammy

I love the sun and now that I'm taking pictures I've discovered that sunrises are the best for photographing. Our sun rises about 6:30 here and it is what pulls me out of bed. This morning I went for a walk around our homes at 7:15 and the sun was making a nice show through the light fog.

We are blessed to see the sunrise every morning. Unless it is a cloudy day, of course. You have some great pictures of your sunrise. It happens quickly once it begins!

.. Hello Susan.... I don't get to see sunrises at my place... to many buildings and trees. What I do see is the sun shining in through the lace curtains in the bedroom for most of the day and through the kitchen curtains in the early morning.... I love this... xxxx
