Getting the Dollhouse Holiday Ready in Advance

Once the holidays start in earnest, from pre-Thanksgiving onward, time is at a precious premium.

Consequently, the dollhouse gets decorated well in advance for Christmas.

The rather arduous but totally fun task has definitely begun in earnest.

Here's what the house looks like after a cleaning.

The conclusion is that this sweet dollhouse is too small for all the minies that have been collected!

Better be on the lookout for a bigger one this coming year! ha!

This is the "big" dining room table at this time.

It's a real mess of minies!

It has already snowed in the dollhouse's front yard.

There's a pretty new girl, decked all in red, in the back yard this year.

She's standing next to one of the tiny evergreen trees.

We'll keep you posted on dollhouse decorating progress during the next few weeks.

If that interests you, stay tuned!

WHAT IS YOUR MOST POIGNANT DOLLHOUSE MEMORY?

Gosh you did do a spring cleaning or winter cleaning.
I can't wait to see it all dolled up.
Do you do it alone or have any little helpers there?

  3. Hi Susan,
Oh!! I love your dollhouses and your magnificent dolls.
Have you done them all by yourself, or do you have helpers?
It's amazing how the artist within your heart comes right out,
especially at this precious time of year, Christmas...
Well, I never had a dollhouse, yet I have seen them in Stores
in New York, especially when I used to work in some of them,
like Lord & Taylor in Christmas Season...
I just can't wait to see your future posts with your gorgeous dolls.
Thank you so much, sweetheart for reading and writing your lovely

Have a blessed Season with your loved ones!!

  5. Your dollhouse is so cute, Susan. I love the snow that is displayed. I'm not sure if I mentioned this to you, but the girls had a doll house that their grandpa built them, and when they were all grown, I ended up giving it away. And now, I wish I had kept it. This is such a cute doll with the red dress and white fur.

    Enjoy your dollhouse!

    love, ~Sheri

  6. Doll house decorating could be fun and therapeutic. I think I'd do a holiday beach house. Imagination is taking me away.
