Lilacs in the Air?

Today, let's pause to think of all those suffering in Brussels.

It is chilling to contemplate how evil human beings can be.

It must make Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, so sad, especially during this most holy of weeks.

May His  Spiritual presence give comfort to all those who lost loved ones in the terrorist attacks as well as all those who were injured.  Our world truly needs His peace during this turbulent and horrific time in history.

While doing a little Easter shopping at Home Goods,  I found a beautiful lilac colored and scented candle.

The fragrance just happened to be one of my favorites-----lilac.

Now it's way too early for lilac bushes to bloom so, of course,  the candle had to come home with me.

Easter needs the intoxicating scent of lilacs, don't you think?

It's really a lovely candle and I'm glad I bought it.

The Easter season decor is delightful as well as feelings of peace and love. At least we can preserve those in the sanctity of our own homes and lives.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SPRING FRAGRANCE?

Jasmine...I love the scent of jasmine. I love Lilies also especially calia lilies.
My heart goes out to all the people who died in the terror attacks in Brussels. I've been to that city a long time ago. So very sad.

Lilac is a favorite Easter scent. My childhood home had 3 tall lilac bushes, white, purple and lilac blooms.

I went to visit my brother the other day and he had a beautiful purple hyacinth that perfumed the whole kitchen and living room. The kitchen table was covered with a beautiful cloth that had sprays of purple lilacs sprinkled all over. It definitely smelled and looked like spring in his house! I bet it's the same at your house...

Just noticed about 30 minutes ago that our lilac has some tiny buds!!!

Yes, Brussels is so sad. The human heart can only handle so much sadness and social media gives us all way too much ugliness. Hard to think about the pain these families will now associate with Easter Week.

I love lilacs too Susan. It is a lovely scent. I love lavender too. My youngest daughter says I over dosed her on lavender...
I just feel for all the families that the bombing touched. So sad and it's hard not to think about it. Our very sad world.

Praying for those in Brussels and around the world who are suffering.

Yes, I agree, what is spring without the scent of lilacs? I may have to go out and get a candle too. :) Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

.. it is so sad what has happened in Brussels. The world is full of pain and cruelty.
We can only pray and hope the madness stops.

Have a happy Easter and I'll think of your lovely home smelling of Lilacs.....
