A Mini Loch Ness Monster?

Recently,  a little friend and I watched a really cool movie from Netflix called "Water Horse."

It was like a version of the Loch Ness Monster story.

Angus, the young boy star of the movie, was very engaging and a good friend to the monster.

Well, wouldn't you know it, recently, while looking into the body of water in a nearby town, I saw something.

It looked like a mini version of the water horse monster!

See it in the photo at the top of this post?

Naturally, the movie was on my mind but I have to say, the monster's local mini cousin gave me quite a chuckle.

HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT THE LOCH NESS MONSTER?

I'm guessing that most know the story of the Loch Ness Monster, but without little ones around, I've not heard of the movie Water Horse.

I have seen the movie The Water Horse and enjoyed it. I've never seen the Loch Ness Monster though...you have quite an imagination.

I used to take my students on a field trip to a farm. They had a fallen log similar to this one in the creek, so they painted it to look like a dinosaur. Oh the imagination is a wonderful thing.

I have never seen the movie, The Water Horse, but I bet it was good. I look forward to being able to take my granddaughter to the movies in the next few years.

Many years ago, my husband and I lived in Plattsburg, NY which was right near Lake Champlain. The local legends says that there is a Loch Ness monster in that lake. They named it Champ and the legend of the creature dates back to the Native American tribes who lived there. We had many picnic lunches on the shores of that beautiful lake and we were always on the look out for Champ!
