On the table beneath a gigantic window, an amaryllis had grown during the late winter to a very tall height.
At the top, three drop-dead-gorgeous blooms opened their beauty to the world.
Hubs carefully hauled the lovely, towering big babe down to the kitchen where she draws "ooo's" and "ahhhhhs" from visitors.
There are two huge unopened buds, too, so we are in for some more splendorous blooms.
Oh my. What a welcome sight this darling girl was to our winter-weary spirits.
HAVE YOU EVER GROWN AN AMARYLLIS?

I never have grown one, but it is GORGEOUS. I like the first picture especially seeing the details of that flower.
I haven't grown one. But this is just beautiful!! :-)
your AMARYLLIS is lovely. beautiful, indeed. i have never grown one myself.
Nature knows. She is announcing forthcoming flower friends. It's a matter of time. It is beautiful.
What a beautiful flower! I have only tried growing one once and it was a gift. Enjoy! Nancy
That flower is quite lovely! No I have never grown one. So impressive! :) Kit
The year my mother died I was given an amaryllis . I could not get it to bloom. I sang to her, I watered her, I danced for her, I fed her. I talked to her. I gave up on her.
The morning of my mother’s funeral I walked into my room where that amaryllis was. There before me was my gorgeous white amaryllis, shining in all her radiance. I knew mom was enjoying the glory of heaven, and also reminded myself when the time is right, things will happen.
I have never had one of those. All my house plants die on me...I was away a couple days and my Easter lily and my Hydrangea plant look like they've bit the dust. Now you and hubby know how to grow plants.
