Sometimes while shopping, ideas of how to display something pop up.
One doesn't even necessarily have to buy anything.
Such was the case perusing a neat (but very expensive) gift shop on the grounds of the House of the Seven Gables in Salem, Massachusetts.
One window was filled with round discs of cobalt blue glass.
It made a stunning display.
Also loved the saying on the cover of a book for sale.
DO YOU EVER GET IDEAS FROM SHOPPING EXCURSIONS?

I like the quote on the cover of the book. I bet the cobalt glass discs caught your eye, as you have cobalt items in your home. Isn't it pretty? There are many creative displays out there made by such talented people.

Wish you could have gotten those round disks - I know you would have loved them.
Yes I get decorating ideas when I see things in other places.
Love, sandie
I used to love going to open houses when I was younger. I loved looking at all the decorating ideas for a home whenever I bought one....I don't really shop so don't get ideas from stores anymore. I'm sure you loved the cobalt as my daughter would have loved that display too.
Susan,
Love that blue cobalt!! I do usually get inspiration from what i see when out shopping!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Deb
I toured the House of the Seven Gables years ago, and we have one of those triangular bells in our back yard. Love cobalt. My New England friend collected it.
