Some critters inside the Amelia Park Children's Museum in Western Massachusetts are delightful to see.
The place we are talking about is the Ameila Park Children's Museum.
Kids of all ages can enjoy Steve, the red-eyed guinea pig.
Did you know that guinea pigs have four toes on their front feet and only three on their back feet? At least that's what the information near Steve, says!
Milo, the lizard, is a wonder to behold, too.
He is not camera shy. He slides right up to the glass wall of his abode and stares at visitors.
Then, there is Houdini, the box turtle.
The museum information says these kinds of turtles can live up to 200 years!
Some of the things they eat are snails, insects, berries, fungi, slugs, worms, roots, flowers, fish, frogs, snakes, birds, and eggs.
The museum is an interactive place that kids, parents, and most adults can truly enjoy, too.
Cornelia, the corn snake, likes to hide out in her own "house." She eats mice and is found in southeastern and central parts of America.
The Amelia Park Children's Museum is located at 29 South Broad St. in Westfield, Massachusetts.
Their email address is fun@ameliaparkmuseum.org and the phone number is (413) 572-4014.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CRITTER TO SEE IN A MUSEUM SETTING?

Not a fan of creatures but I'm sure the children are fascinated with them. My grandson now wants a turtle but since they live so long my son is hesitant about obtaining one for him. His fish kicked the bucket after four years in an aquarium.
That was interesting - reptiles aren't my favorite tho. I love to watch the big apes!
Guess that was not technically a museum animal! lol
These outings are so much fun with little ones. We also have a childrens' museum, but don't think we have critters.
I'm fond of most critters but not so much snakes and spiders.
Merle..............l
