A long-time friend coming to Christmas tea is a special gift of the season.
A very dear friend of mine for the past 50 years or more did just that this holiday season.
She has come over many times throughout the years but within the past few years, some serious health issues pretty much stopped the visits.
So when her daughter told me she was coming to bring her mother for Christmas tea, it was cause for celebration.
On the table went my favorite Christmas tablecloth, rimmed with white, green, and red and sprinkled with white ducks decked in holiday attire.
It was a gift from a younger sister!
The tea was hot, the snacks were good, but reliving fun times, laughing, and snapping photos of my dear friend, who cheated death, itself, made the afternoon very special.
