Little Things Bring Great Joy

Joy.

That's what I wish for you today and throughout the rest of the holiday season.

The letters that spell out "joy" in our kitchen are perched on the top of the kitchen stove.

They were  painted in El Salvador, Central America.

The arts and crafts from that country are very colorful.

It saddens me to think of the struggle to just live most Salvadorians have on a daily basis.

There is probably not too much joy in that country, as well as many others, this Christmas.

A home, family, food, and safety are all immense gifts. If we have been given them, we are beyond blessed.

It doesn't take huge amounts of money to bring us joy.

Just loving and appreciating what we have been given, no matter how little, can fill our hearts to overflowing with joy.

WHAT BRINGS YOU JOY? PLEASE SHARE WITH US.

Truer words were never spoken. We are blessed, too. I recognized that decoration as Guatemalan. I love those vivid colors. Enjoy the coming days with grand babies.

Joy to the World is one of my favorite Christmas songs. This is a season of joy and thankfulness for our family and friends. Opening Christmas cards from people far away is a joy, smelling pine scented trees and smelling gingerbread baking in the oven. I love this season. Singing with the choir...and I could go on and on. Joy to you and your family this Christmas too.

We are very blessed to live in the United States - I feel for all the people in those countries. We are so blessed aren't we?
