The Perfection of Cranberry Glass

For people who love the color pink, cranberry glass is a dream-come-true.

The first time I ever saw this beautiful collectible glass, it was lining dozens of shop shelves in Cape Cod.

Seeing it was mesmerizing since pink is my very favorite color.

It's usually not inexpensive because gold chloride is added to molten glass during the making of cranberry glass.

My beloved late Mother gave me the very first piece of cranberry glass.

For many years now, it has been one of my very favorite collectibles.

Some pieces I've come across in thrift stores or estate sales where, apparently, the value of the glass was unknown by the seller.

For spring, the fireplace mantel has been lined with cranberry glass pieces as well as three windowsills in the living room and two in the dining room.

Large pieces are on various downstairs tables.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE GLASS, SUCH AS COBALT BLUE, TURQUOISE, ETC?  PLEASE TELL US ABOUT IT.

A beautiful collection. Cobalt blue would definitely be my choice as I do love all shades of blue.

Not only is your collection beautiful - it is so clean as are your shelves and tables - I don't think mine are that clean - lol. I have one and I will take a photo for you.

Very pretty. I have no glass collections as I live in earthquake country.

These are beautiful, Susan! Glassware of any kind makes my heart quicken, but cranberry is my favorite. My mom has a set of glasses she's had as long as I can remember. They've been sitting unused in a cabinet forever. Maybe one day I can convince her to let me bring them out so we can enjoy them.
