A Dandy Duo of Doves

For the first time ever, a birthday gift arrived in the mail this week.

(My birthday is in September).

It was from a dear friend, Jana, in Georgia.

The thought of waiting until September to open the gift ran through my mind but the thought was fleeting.

It was thrilling to rip open that box and find a pair of absolutely beautiful, gold and glittering doves.

One is lifting up her wings, the other is kind of turning her head to see something near her.

Of course, I immediately called Jana to thank her kindly for being so thoughtful and for sending such a totally delightful gift.

She ordered the pair of darling doves from QVC.

I love them!

The feathered friend with the lifted up wings has been named "Susan Dove," since she is always on-the-go.

The more thoughtful, introspective bird is "Jana Dove."

Undoubtedly, "Susan Dove" and "Jana Dove" will be kept out all year long as exquisite decorative items.

Right now, they are on the table in the front entrance hall, along with treasured candle holders, a white candle, and the Blessed Mother.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF WHEN YOU SEE A DOVE?
