Tea for Two or Three

While still putting Christmas decor away, Valentine decorations starting coming out.

What better time for a tea for two or three friends from high school?

It had been more than 50 years----yes!  50 ---- since we had gotten together as a threesome.

Rosemary brought a sumptuous strawberry cream cake and Patti brought a ton of gifts since we hadn't had a chance to exchange during the Christmas holiday.

My favorite and very precious Old Country Roses dishes and cups looked pretty against the white lace tablecloth on the kitchen table.

A lighted candle on a Victorian-looking holder with hanging crystals and a fresh rose with baby's breath added to the ambiance.

Passion tea went perfectly with the cake!

Best of all were the memories shared as well as being with dear, old friends who, so far, have withstood the test of time.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE KIND OF TEA?

I love tea. I drink it instead of coffee. I love Earl Grey in the morning . At tea houses I order chocolate mint. I love any kind of herbal tea too but not fond of hibiscus....So glad you and your high school friends had a lovely get together.

Looks like a lovely tea time with dear friends. I usually drink green tea or infusions. We have sooooooo much because of all our visits to Sri Lanka. I really like ginger green tea, jasmine green tea, chai, mango or peach infusions.

The strawberry cream cake looks amazing. How nice that you got together with some dear friends from high school. Kind of like a small class reunion, only better. Your table is so lovely, and I noticed the Victorian plates and tea cups. I've seen this Old Country Rose design before, it's beautiful. That candle holder is so unique too. So glad you got to visit with some old friends. After 50 years, I bet the conversation kept going for some time. : )
