Writing Straight from the Heart posts, during the warmer months of the year, tend to be heavy on flowers and plants.
See the window box petunias and million bells and the back porch blue morning glories in the header?
These lovely gifts from our Creator just squeeze the heart.
Around here, there is hardly a single flower that is disliked, except, perhaps, marigolds and tiger lilies.
Those just don't sizzle my timbers.
Like there are so many flowers to enjoy, there are an abundance of things to still learn.
Do you have things you would still like to learn to do?
One skill I'd love to acquire is doing my own blog headers.
To date, the skill evades me.
Loving photography, there is always an abundance of slice-of-life photos which I send to my son when a new blog header is needed.
A computer whiz, he does a great job, don't you think?
Please check out the new header on today's post!
DO YOU DO YOUR OWN BLOG HEADERS?

Your blog header is lovely. I too love most flowers but not Tiger Lily's or Marigolds. It probably has to do with the fact that I never have liked orange or yellow flowers very much. With the passing of years I seem to like them more. I do my own headers but these days I don't have any proper tools to make them so can only do something very simple as I will no longer use free tools since they can come with viruses. Oh I almost forgot to answer your question about things I'd like to learn. There are so many things but I'll say photography as I really haven't taken time to properly learn. I just point and shoot, lol. Have a wonderful week ahead.
Susan, I do everything with the blog, but the Header is the one thing I don't do. The girls have always done that, and that's why it isn't changed that often. I do usually take the photo for our Header, however. Your son did a wonderful job with your Header. It looks just right for Summertime, and those blue flowers are just so pretty. The flag is perfect for the Fourth of July coming up. Great job. : )

I think your son did a great job and always does on your headers. I do not have a blog but enjoy yours. I would like to learn to play ukulele better and maybe take up crochet again. Have a great day with the warm weather. Love all your flowers.
I think your blog header is wonderful - so nice of your son. I did think you made a couple by yourself - didn't you?
I am techno challenged, so no I don;t do my header, but should learn. Keeping you and yours in prayers.
Your blog header is lovely. And I love all the flower pictures. You say you don't like marigolds and here I love them. I love their funny smell and their cheery bright faces. Each to her own, right?
I have always done my own headers -- I never mind playing around with the design.
I hope you have a wonderful week, Susan.

Hi Susan, just wanted to answer your question.....
Nel got her Ph.D. in English Literature. She worked so hard to get it, and
now she is an English Professor. She is working from home right now, and her students have always loved her. She is such a dedicated teacher. Thank you for asking. : )
