Morning Highlight

It has often been said that life's little things bring the greatest pleasure.

A summer morning with bright sunshine is one of them.

Sunshine lighting up a garden statue standing in front of a backyard fountain is another little thing that definitely brings a smile.

The statue is an estate sale find a few years back.

It's possible she's a depiction of Aphrodite, the Olympian goddess of love, beauty, pleasure and procreation although there's no way to prove that.

There are no identifying marks on her at all but she's still adorable.

WOULD YOU CONSIDER NAMING ONE LITTLE THING AROUND YOUR HOUSE THAT BRINGS YOU PLEASURE?

I do like your little statue area - do you have a place outside there to sit and watch it - that would be so peaceful. sandie

I enjoy sitting on my patio and watching birds fly to the bird bath. Some drink and some splash and make a muddy mess. Entertaining.

My piano and my new Alexa. I can ask her to play whatever kind of music I want and boom...I hear it immediately. Music brings me happiness and peace.

There is a mermaid statue that we named Sebastian, and since I don't have a pool any more, I passed it along to Jess. I think she loves it even more than I did.

It's nice to see all the statues around your house, Susan, and it seems they mean a lot to you with a story behind every one. ; )

The morning sunlight is certainly something that would bring pleasure to your day.
