Let There Be (a Little) LIght

Many, many years ago, while looking around in a Cracker Barrel restaurant gift shop, a small pink and transparent glass lamp caught my eye.

It was just adorable as well as a case of love at first sight.

Money was  very tight then (so what else is new?) but I bought it anyway.

It was one of those purchases one never, ever regrets.

Fast forward a couple of decades......the little light is still with me.

When I switch it on at night, it's comforting.

DO YOU HAVE ITEMS IN YOUR SPACE THAT GO WAY BACK BUT STILL BRING YOU JOY?

I love all the products from Cracker Barrel they have a great purchase agent I guess you'd say. I could spend money in there every time I go -
I love your little lamp.
I have a couple places in my house. ☺

Oh, what a sweet lamp, Susan. I love it. And you love Pink too, it's perfect for you. Sometimes we come across items like this that we just can't pass up. It looks so nice on your table next to the Angel. I'm glad it brings you comfort at night. We need that right now, such stressful times.

I have a lovely tiffany lamp in my bedroom that is very old but I love looking at it and I also love the butterfly lamp you bought me a long time ago. That little lamp of yours is a light in your life right now.

I do know how comforting the light of a lamp is, just as that lovely little lamp must be for you at this time. You must be so glad you took the plunge that day when you bought it. My mom always had a lamp on in her entry way for many months after her hubby (my dad) passed away. She too found the light comforting when she came into her too-empty home.

Sending heart hugs, Susan.

I love the arrangement! I regret not purchasing a set of hand painted darling little bunny mugs at Cracker Barrel one year at Easter.

Your little lamp is so pretty. It's beautiful that the warm light and the memory of how it was lovingly purchased gives you comfort. Whenever I feel strongly about something I really can't explain, {like buying your lamp} I've learned to listen to my feelings. I've found that sooner or later, there was a very good reason for those feelings. I like to think of those times as God winks. Have you read the Godwink books? They are about true stories of coincidences in people's lives. I guess my books give me the most comfort.

Such a sweet lamp with a gentle glow. Especially in winter, I love to drive down the street and see the light of a lamp in a window.
I have some framed wall art that belonged to my parents. It gives me joy to look upon and enjoy something that they loved for many years.
