A Pleasant Surprise

Surprises are fun whenever they come to us.

Most recently, a very dear cousin gave me a Christmas gift he ordered in October.

It came in his mail a couple of days ago, late for Christmas but early for Valentine's Day.

It's a deep red flower with bright, dark, intensive green leaves and a pretty beaded chain.

A large red tear-drop shape hangs past the bottom of the flower.

It's so beautiful that its late arrival doesn't even matter at all.

It now hangs in a kitchen window that's part of the back door, eliciting smiles every time I see it.

My cousin's generosity, kindness, and love are in the flower, too, which makes it extra special.

WHAT WAS THE LAST SURPRISE YOU GOT?

That's really very pretty and a very nice surprise. I'm having a hard time remembering any real surprises I've had around here lately. :) happy February!

Happy February. My last surprise was a gorgeous floral arrangement in the shape of a Christmas tree sent to me from my daughter in December. I LOVED it. Nice of your cousin to send you something you enjoy.

Oh Susan, that looks like a red rose. It's so beautiful. What a pretty and thoughtful gift from your cousin. I love those red and green and clear beads it hangs from too. That must look so pretty hanging in your kitchen.
