Where Are the Daffodils?

A very dear friend in Georgia said daffodils there are springing up above the ground.

Holy moly.  If daffodils came up here, in Massachusetts, they'd be covered with a couple feet of snow.

Isn't it amazing how weather can be so different from one place to another?

I look forward to crocus, daffodils, lilacs, and tulips.

And tomatoes, oh, fresh, sun-warmed tomatoes from the farmer's market. Yes!

Just the thought of spring makes a song in the heart.

Will winter and COVID ever end?

WHAT DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO MOST IN SPRING?

Around here, it's been close to -40 with wind chills the past few days. So there is no self-respecting daffodil sticking her little green nose out from under all the snow. It's such a delight to see your sweet posy sitting on your table along with those lovely tomatoes waiting for your sandwich or salad.

Yes, dear Susan, this too shall pass. Of course, one day at a time is what I try to do and not peer too far into the future - it all looks a bit dim from here.

BTW, did I mention that I really like that plate your tomatoes are sitting in?

Stay warm and safe. Happy Friday.

I also have daffodils blooming in my backyard. Of course there is no snow where I live. I love them . Nice photos you posted today. I love the tomatoes on the vine. So delicious.

Hi, Susan! There are a few little green shoots coming up from the ground around here, and we’re having what I consider cold weather! They seem to survive the freezing temps, though. The redbud and dogwood trees are what create a lovely view here in the springtime.

Oh Yes, there's nothing like homegrown tomatoes, is there? I'm wondering what Spring will be like living here in the mountains. I'm sure all the seasons are vibrant, especially Fall.

Happy Valentine's Day to you, dear friend.

Prrof there is a spring inthe future: I found little green shoots popping up out of the snow in a planter out front. Nature has its own way. I will be so happy when Spring comes roaring in. Sending love your way for Valentine's Day, friend.
