A Good Way to Live...

 "Two men trod the way of life;

The first, with downcast eye;

the second, with an eager face uplifted to the sky.

He who gazed upon the ground said, 'Life is dull and

gray.'

But he who looked into the stars went singing on his

way."

Those simple but powerful words have a message that can make a huge difference in one's life.

They are printed on a pink card inside a large stack that holds Scriptural and inspirational messages for every day of the year.

The cards were found many years ago at either a yard or estate sale and are held together by a metal ring.

At one time there must have been two metal rings because each card, written in strange script, has an empty hole in the corner where a second ring could go.

The stack rests on a small, round table in an upstairs bathroom.

Unfortunately, who wrote the above lines, will remain shrouded in mystery.

 There is no writer's name or credit given on any of the cards, other than Bible verses.

The treasured cards cost less than a dollar but their messages are priceless.

TELL HOW YOU THINK ONE'S ATTITUDE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE QUALITY OF ONE'S LIFE.

It is always better to think with positive thoughts instead of negative things. It takes a toll on your mental health otherwise.

These cards are very special, Susan. I love what the first one reads. I am wondering if they were written by someone, or are they all Bible verses? For only a dollar, you found yourself some treasured words. Yes, I think a positive attitude is everything. Thank you for exuding so much goodness here on your blog, Susan. : )

Quick bits of inspiration that make you think about life. That verse reminded me of the Burma Shave signs that used to be posted along highways in the 1950s.
